Portrait tattoos in Sydney

Choosing a reference photograph

Portraits can begin with a family photograph, a sporting moment or someone whose work matters to you. Zencat’s portfolio includes children, family memorials and sports portraits, with both realistic and illustrative approaches.

A portrait tattoo starts with the photograph you choose and the expression you want to keep. Zencat’s artist, Yao, is a Chinese-speaking tattoo artist trained at the China Academy of Art, with a background in game art. Consultations are available in English and Mandarin.

Send the sharpest original photograph you have, ideally with clear facial features and natural light. Tell us which expression matters, where you want the tattoo and how large you would like it.

Sydney guest-spot enquiries are welcome. Zencat does not currently have a permanent Sydney studio. A host studio and dates must be arranged and confirmed before any appointment can be booked.
